Pertemuan Jokowi dengan Gianni Infantino juga menghasilkan sejumlah kesepakatan. Satu di antaranya menyepakati adanya transpormasi sepak bola Indonesia secara keseluruhan.
"Kami bersepakat untuk melakukan transpormasi sepak bola Indonesia secara menyeluruh, memastikan semua aspek pertandingan berjalan sesuai dengan standar keamanan yang ditetapkan oleh FIFA. Baik pemain atau penonton harus terjamin keamanan dan keselamatannya," ucap Jokowi.
"Untuk itu kami sepakat mengkaji kembali kelayakan stadion dan juga menerapkan teknologi untuk membantu memitigasi potensi yang membahayakan penonton maupun pemain."
"Kami juga secara bersama-sama mengkaji ulang para pemangku kepentingan persepakbolaan Indonesia. Pemerintah bersama dengan FIFA ingin memastikan proses transpormasi sepak bola Indonesia berjalan sesuai dengan standar yang ditetapkan," tambah presiden asal Surakarta ini.
Pertemuan tersebut juga membahas mengenai Piala Dunia U-20 2023. Seperti diketahui, pesta sepak bola level usia terakbar di dunia itu bakal digelar di Indonesia pada 20 Mei hingga 11 Juni 2023.
"Pemerintah bersama FIFA juga bersepakat untuk memastikan pertandingan piala dunia U-20 di Indonesia dapat berjalan dengan baik. Semua segi persiapan sampai dengan pelaksanaannya harus dipastikan berjalan sesuai dengan standar FIFA, dan ditangani secara baik secara profesional," tutur Jokowi.
"Dengan demikian mari kita jadikan kesepakatan ini sebagai momentum perbaikan sistem persepakbolaan Indonesia agar sepak bola Indonesia menjadi kebanggaan nasional dan tampil lebih baik lagi di masa yang akan datang," imbuhnya.
