INIMAHSUMEDANG
Peristiwa memilukan terjadi pada pekan ke-11 BRI Liga 1 2022/2023. Tepatnya pada pertandingan yang mempertemukan Arema FC versus Persebaya Surabaya di Stadion Kanjuruhan, Kabupaten Malang, Sabtu (01/10).
Usai pertandingan, terjadi keributan massal. Beberapa fasilitas yang ada di dalam stadion mengalami kerusakan parah. Diinformasikan juga ada korban meninggal dunia yang jumlahnya sampai saat ini masih dalam konfirmasi.
Dalam press release dari laman resmi Liga Indonesia Baru, terkait hal tersebut, sebagai operator kompetisi BRI Liga 1 2022/2023, PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) langsung bersikap.
“Kami prihatin dan sangat menyesalkan peristiwa tersebut. Kami ikut berdukacita dan semoga ini menjadi pelajaran berharga bagi kita semua,” sebut Direktur Utama PT LIB, Akhmad Hadian Lukita, Minggu dini hari (02/10).
Lebih lanjut, Akhmad Hadian Lukita juga menegaskan bahwa pihaknya memutuskan bahwa kompetisi BRI Liga 1 2022/2023 dihentikan selama sepekan.
“Keputusan tersebut kami umumkan setelah kami mendapatkan arahan dari Ketua Umum PSSI. Ini kami lakukan untuk menghormati semuanya dan sambil menunggu proses investigasi dari PSSI,” jelasnya.
