INIMAHSUMEDANG
Siapa sih yang tidak akan terkesan melalui kesenian khas Sumedang yang satu ini. Ya, kesenian Kuda Renggong. Jadi, pada hari Selasa kemarin, 06 September 2022, Menteri Pembangunan dan Kerja Sama Denmark Mr. Flemming Moller Mortensen begitu terkesan sekali, mengaku baru pertama kali menunggangi Kuda Renggong selama hidupnya.
Hal tersebut dikatakan langsung olehnya saat berkunjung ke Pusat Pemerintahan Sumedang (PPS) dan didaulat untuk menaiki Kuda Renggong bersama anggota rombongan lainnya pada prosesi penyambutan tamu.
Dalam kesempatan tersebut, ia didampingi Dubes Denmark untuk Indonesia Mr. Lars Bo Larsen dan Kepala Perwakilan Bank Dunia untuk Indonesia dan Timor Leste Mrs. Satu Kahkonen yang semuanya turut naik Kuda Renggong. Hadir pula unsur dari Kemenko Marves dan Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia.
Kedatangan rombongan yang mendarat dengan helikopter di Lapangan Upacara PPS disambut dengan kesenian Tari Umbul yang ditampilkan para pelajar SMP sebelum naik Kuda Renggong.
Dijelaskan Mr. Flemming bahwa menunggangi kuda yang menari dan diiringi dengan musik tradisional merupakan pengalaman pertamanya, “Ini merupakan hal pertama (bagi saya) yang sangat luar biasa. Saya tidak akan melupakan bisa naik kuda yang menari,” ujarnya.
Mr. Flemming menyebutkan, Sumedang memiliki budaya yang tinggi sehingga dirinya berjanji akan datang kembali untuk mengeksplor Kabupaten Sumedang.
