Wijnand Kerkhoff suka mengikuti pekerjaan orang Sumedang. Hampir semua orang yang bekerja, mulai dari petani, pedagang, pengrajin, tukang kayu, pabrik minyak, pabrik oncom, paledeng, yang membuat lapak, dan lain-lain. Tentu saja, ada banyak hal yang terjadi di balik potret tersebut.
