INIMAHSUMEDANG
Semula, Kabupaten Parakan Muncang beribukota di Cicalengka. Sedangkan Kabupaten Bandung awalnya di Dayeuhkolot. Berdasarkan buku Priangan de Preanger-Regentschappen onder het Nederlandsch Bestuur tot 1811, ditulis F de Haan terbitan tahun 1910-1912, ibukota Kabupaten Parakan Muncang ada di tepian jalan raya besar, dengan didirikan oleh Wiratanoebaja I. Sebelumnya, ibukota Kabupaten Parakan Muncang adalah di Parakan Muncang dekat Cicalengka.
Sebagaimana diketahui, bahwa di Pulau Jawa, termasuk di Jawa Barat, pernah dikenal zaman cultuurstelsel atau tanam paksa, salah satunya adalah tanaman kopi di wilayah Priangan pada zaman Gubernur Jenderal HW Daendels.
