INIMAHSUMEDANG
Pemerintah RI dan Federasi Sepak Bola Internasional (FIFA) sepakat untuk melakukan transformasi sepak bola Indonesia secara menyeluruh serta memastikan semua aspek pertandingan berjalan sesuai dengan standar keamanan yang ditetapkan oleh FIFA.
Hal ini ditegaskan oleh Presiden RI Joko Widodo usai bertemu dengan Presiden FIFA Gianni Infantino, di Istana Merdeka, Jakarta, pada hari Selasa (18/10/2022).
Pertemuan tersebut membahas mengenai sepak bola Indonesia usai tragedi Kanjuruhan pada 1 Oktober 2022. Seperti diketahui, insiden pasca derby Jawa Timur antara Arema FC versus Persebaya Surabaya itu telah menyebabkan seratusan orang tewas dan luka-luka.
"Hari ini saya bertemu dengan Presiden FIFA. Tadi kami telah melakukan pembahasan penting mengenai sepak bola Indonesia pasca tragedi Kanjuruhan di Malang," ujar Jokowi, usai pertemuan.
"Kami berdiskusi secara detail, dan dalam pertemuan itu Presiden FIFA mengungkapkan rasa duka dan simpati yang mendalam terhadap keluarga korban, dan menyampaikan kepeduliannya atas tragedi yang terjadi."
"Kami bersepakat bahwa tragedi ini menjadi pelajaran yang sangat penting bagi persepakbolaan Indonesia dan juga bagi dunia sepak bola. Dan jangan sampai kejadian ini terulang kembali, jangan sampai kegembiraan penonton pertandingan sepak bola berujung pada duka dan malapetaka," tambah presiden berusia 61 tahun ini.
